As the director of one of the most forward-thinking and progressive real estate investment and design management companies in Asia, the affable Bobby Cheng from Brewin Mesa Pte Ltd. has his eyes set on both the cutting-edge and the luxurious. The fact that he graduated from both the Rhode Island School of Design and Harvard Design School (where he earned a Master’s degree from its Urban Design program) probably explains Bobby’s open and versatile approach towards his projects. Prior to founding Brewin Design Office, he worked with several renowned firms in New York and Paris, including Tsao & Mckown Architects and Atelier Jean Nouvel, firm of the Pritzker Prize-winning Jean Nouvel. Here, Bobby worked on an award-winning mixed-use project in Sydney as well as Nouvel 18, a Wing Tai developed residential project in Singapore. Topping this up with his cool, contemporary designs for hip restaurants such as Fat Cow and Chef’s Table, as well as art galleries like Space Cottonseed, Bobby is certainly on a winning streak.
