It takes unprecedented vision to start a small business during a recession, and much more than that to make it succeed. Despite the economic uncertainty that deterred many from starting something new, Suvadee Phungbunphra spearheaded PP Group in 2003; her brother Orand Puipanthavong joined the business a few years later. PP Group is one of the biggest importers of luxury labels in Thailand, running legendary, most coveted brands like Celine, Givenchy, Loewe, Emilio Pucci, Longchamp, Tory Burch, and Roger Vivier. Born into a media family – their mother led at a successful newspaper and her side of the family still owns Thailand's dominant media conglomerate – they decided to instead pursue their passion for luxury products.
