How to Visit Thirty Galleries in a Day

After the massive success of last year’s exciting, engaging, and energetic art exhibition, the 4th edition of Hotel Art Fair offers Bangkok aesthetes the works of 30+ Thai galleries and art collectors on June 24th & 25th.

June 19, 2017
On June 24 and 25, Bangkok aesthetes are invited to check into Hotel Art Fair for artistic indulgence from more than 30 top galleries and art collectors across Thailand. Thanks to Farmgroup, the leading design consultancy in Thailand, each hotel room of the Volve Hotel Bangkok (Sukhumvit soi 53) will be transformed into an art setting to display artworks from unique galleries, artists, and art collectors from across the country.
To uplift and support the Thai art industry, Hotel Art Fair aims to “give the public easy access to art and offer Thai artists and Thai galleries a platform to make themselves known to a larger audience,” revealed Vorathit Kruavanichkit, a Farmgroup executive.
The main highlight of the event is Paul, the world’s most advanced sketching robot, curated by YenakArt Villa. During your stay at the hotel, Paul will draw people’s portraits live by using his highly artistic skills for the first time in Asia. Whilst across from YenakArt, about Sathorn neighbour in real life will be Bangkok Citycity who will be showing another artist in their repertoire with a show that relates to what is currently on at the gallery.
And don’t expect this year’s Hotel Art Fair to be the same. “Details of the event will be different; both of artworks and venues,” stated a Farmgroup executive, “There will be more participating galleries and artists to curate new artworks.”
Here are some of this year’s participating galleries: ARTIST+RUN, ATTA Gallery and Paw Dee Lifestyle, Bangkok Art and Culture Centre, BANGKOK CITYCITY GALLERY, C.A.P Studio + JOJO KOBE, Chardchakaj Portrait Studio & Antique Photo, Claustrophobic, Doo ood Group, Gallery Seescape, H Gallery Bangkok, Jack Poohvis & NEV3R, Lik Sriprasert, LYLA Gallery, Note Kritsada, Nova Contemporary, Viranod Buranasiri, PRACTICAL Design Studio, Pomme Chan, Serindia Gallery, Studio Jitti / Kongsak Studio / Aninta, Sujin Wattanawongchai, Temporary Contemporary, Tentacles, The Barn Curated by Farmgroup,  The UNI_FORM x Earth Republic x The Archivist, and YenakArt Villa, as well as cultural influencers, such as Dr. Apinan Poshyananda and Chomwan Weeraworawit, who will showcase their private art collections and projects.
Although audiences can expect something refreshing and different each year, what remains the same, we are promise, is the casual and friendly atmosphere the Hotel Art Fair has offered over the last four years. All art lovers are welcome to check in anytime: no payment or reservations required! Even better, the night before the Fair is open to the public expect a line-up of DJ's that include firm-favourite in Bangkok and beyond, DJ Maft Sai with each "gallery" and room open for a littel preview of the exciting weekend to come.
